Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is Moving

ChildrensMuseumOfTheBV_smallThe Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is leaving downtown Bryan.

Executive Director Carolyn Young says the board accepted an offer to sell their current location and move to the Carter Creek Center off East 29th Street.

Young says the new location gives them the same amount of space, about 9,000 square feet. But the new home is all on one floor compared to the three story building where the basement had not been used for exhibits.

She says the new space is “very open and very amenable to get from one exhibit to another”.

Young says the move will be completed in time for the start of summer camps June 2nd.

Young says the new owner, RoseRock Investments, plans to turn the downtown building into “top notch office space”.

The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is excited to announce that we will soon be relocating to a new, centralized location that will allow us to better service our community.

The Children’s Museum has made many wonderful memories in Downtown Bryan since we first opened our doors 18 years ago. Since that time, the Brazos Valley has experienced tremendous growth and as the needs of our community change, the Museum must grow and change to ensure we are able to provide the best educational experience possible to the families in the Brazos Valley and beyond. Therefore, the Children’s Museum is pleased to announce that in the coming months we will be relocating to a new more central location with ample exhibit space.

CMBV Executive Director, Carolyn Young, can’t wait to share all of the new and exciting changes with our community. “The staff and board of directors have worked hard to find the perfect location that will better serve our community. We believe the new location just off University Dr on 29th St in Bryan, located at 4001 E. 29th will be ideal for the growth of the Museum. We are excited that we will not only have more room for children to play and learn in our exhibits, we love the fact that our new convenient location will provide easy access for residents of both Bryan and College Station.”

The Museum staff and board of directors are excited about the upcoming changes that the Museum will be undergoing. For the most up-to-date information on the progress at our new location, please Like us on Facebook and keep checking our website at www.cmbv.org.
