TENAHA, Texas (AP) _ A student waiting for a school bus died and two others were critically hurt after a pickup rolled and plowed into them near Tenaha.
The Tenaha Independent School District, on its Web site, identified the girl who died Tuesday morning as JaLyric Boykin.
The district listed her age as 7. Department of Public Safety spokesman Tom Vinger said the girl was 6, based on information from family members.
Neither could immediately explain the age discrepancy to The Associated Press.
Vinger says a boy and girl were hospitalized.
Vinger says the pickup driver, Eloy David Lara of Palestine, was not hurt in the accident on U.S. 84. DPS says Lara swerved to avoid two vehicles that had stopped for the bus.
