The Brazos Valley Clean Up Challenge Starts on Saturday. Candilyn McLean, Program Manager, says the challenge is an opportunity for cities, counties and organizations to clean up their communities. “Give them an opportunity to reduce the appearance of litter and waste in public spaces. It gives the local community a more pleasant and healthier environment for their residents and for visitors,” says McLean. McLean says the Brazos Valley Clean Up Challenge fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration between the organizations and residents. “It can help them to create a more sustainable and unified, thriving community when they come together with the same purpose, same goal of keep their communities clean,” says McLean. McLean says the challenge finishes at the end of May when a trophy will be presented to the winning team. “Right now, the trophy is in Burleson County, they were our big winners last year,” says McLean. The Brazos Valley Clean Up Challenge is open to Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington Counties through May 31, 2025. CLICK HERE for more information.
