Changes Coming to Aggie Ring Day

The Aggie Ring Day event traditionally held in September is getting pushed back to October.

Scot Walker, Vice President of the Association of Former Students, says this was strictly a weather decision.

“We think it will be a much better experience in October when it is more likely to be cooler and it will also be safer for our staff and volunteers who work all of Ring Day,” says Walker.

Walker says ring day events will also feature an advance day for recipients who want a less stressful experience.

“No chaos. It is a much smaller number of people. We don’t have any onsite entertainment, we don’t have the Aggie Ring Day Marketplace operating. People are able to park at our building because numbers are much smaller,” says Walker.

Walker says those interested in participating in the advance day can register during their ticket pull by selecting the earlier date.

The first Ring Day event will span October 11th and 12th. The second event will be held on November 1st. Both fall 2024 Aggie Ring Days will utilize the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center and Aggie Park.
