The Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce and the Texas A&M Department of Procurement Services held their 11th Community Impact Awards Luncheon Tuesday afternoon.
The program was started in 2003 to recognize Hispanic, African-American, Asian, American-Indian and Women business owners who have demonstrated a significant impact on our community.
Awards were presented to Debbie Bearden of Bottom Line Bookkeeping and American Lube Centers, Rudy Grimaldo of RDM Audio, and Robert Orzabal of Avinext IT and audio-visual solutions.
Chamber President Royce Hickman and A&M Director of Procurement Services Rex Janne congratulated the recipients.
The awards were presented by Chamber board chairman Ben Downs, who also reflected on the death of City of Bryan Director of Neighborhood and Youth Services Ronnie Jackson.
