It is National Garden Week and the A&M Garden Club is celebrating with three interactive displays around town.

Jan Porter, Club President, says the displays are located at Ringer Library in College Station, Mounce Library in Bryan, and the Farm Patch.

“It is a week long celebration that encourages people and communities to look into gardening, to enjoy gardening, and to reach out to beautify their homes and communities,” says Porter.

Porter, whose love for gardening began as a child, says it is never too late to start gardening.

“Any point in time, even if you just pot a little plant and water it and take care of it, it is so rewarding,” says Porter.

Porter also promoted a plant giveaway event on June 28th at Century Square. Click here for more information on the club and the event.
