Candy 95 Wins Back To Back National Association Of Broadcasters Marconi Awards

For the second consecutive year, Bryan Broadcasting’s Candy 95 has won a Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

This year, Candy 95 was selected as CHR (contemporary hit music radio) station of the year. This is for all CHR stations, regardless of the size of the population they serve.

In 2017, Candy was the Marconi’s small market station of the year.

Established in 1989, the Marconi recognizes stations and individuals for their excellence and performance in radio.

Candy was one of three Bryan Broadcasting finalists in this year’s Marconi competition.

Peace 107:7 was a finalist for religious station of the year. Like Candy 95, Peace 107:7 was competing against all religious stations, regardless of the size of the population they serve.

And Morning Candy’s Frito and Katy were a finalist for small market personality.

The NAB Marconi Radio Awards are named after Nobel Prize winner and “Father of Wireless Telegraphy” Guglielmo Marconi.

The Marconi winners were selected by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy. The academy is made up of general managers, program directors, regional executives, owners, programming consultants and former radio executives from across the country.
