Arrests For Reckless Driving Outside A Now Closed Nightclub, Assaulting A Detention Officer, And Another False Report To Police

The last night of a Northgate district nightclub included police activity. After Hurricane Harry’s closed for the last time, a College Station police arrest report says the driver of a pickup told an officer was impatient and angry he was while trying to get through the crowd. An arrest for reckless driving came after an officer saw the truck accelerate to cause tires to screech twice. Online records show it is the third trip to jail in 12 months for 21 year old Nicholas Eggebrecht of College Station. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation after admitted to drunk driving in December 2023 in an incident where he also pleaded guilty to an enhanced charge of driving without a valid license. And he is awaiting trial on a charge of driving without insurance. Eggebrecht is out of jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond. A Brazos County jail inmate is accused of assaulting a detention officer on Thanksgiving. The Brazos County sheriff’s arrest report says 31 year old Darwin Brown of Bryan spit then struck the offer in the cheek with a closed fist. This was after Brown spent time in the recreation yard. Online records show Brown has been jail since October 17th on charges from Harris County that includes assaulting and interfering with the duties of a public servant. The online records also show Brown was booked on five warrants from Bryan municipal court and was placed on community service in those cases.               For the second time this month, is an arrest of someone calling 9-1-1 with a false report that resulted in an emergency response. The Bryan police report says both police and Bryan firefighters responded last Wednesday (December 4) after a man told dispatchers he had a gun and was going to kill himself and he should kill his father. WTAW News is not identifying the man due to the suicide threat and telling officers the only he can get into a mental institution is by calling 9-1-1. The 47 year old was released from jail the same day he was arrested after posting a $4,000 dollar bond.

Texas A&M Student Football Ticket Ordering Is Moving To An Online System

Texas A&M students camping in front of Kyle Field for football tickets is now a thing of the past. President Mark Welsh announces going digital starting next season. That follows problems during the ticket pull for the Texas game. Welsh posted on his website he will not risk putting students in danger again. Making the announcement on his website, Welsh says A&M, which is the largest school in the Southeastern Conference, was the only one not utilizing a digital ticket pull option. Welsh also cited a recent survey by A&M’s student government association showing support for digital tickets by 63 percent of students with sports passes. The president also responded to reporter’s questions during a news conference on November 21st. Welsh said he took responsibility for actions that he described were “very un-Aggie” which he considered “surprising and disappointing”.
