In less than two weeks, a Facebook post went viral to provide caps, gowns, and tassels for veterans graduating Texas A&M who could not afford them.
Karen Allen at A&M’s veteran resource and support center says many vets have to choose needs, particularly the 49% of vets who are married and have children.
Allen says monetary donations can be made online at the Brazos Valley Cares website, and those who want to donate gowns can drop them off in the veteran resource and support center office in the A&M Koldus building.
