Cameron Officer on Probation After Seen in Chilifest Video

SNOOK, Texas (AP) _ A Central Texas police officer is on a 90-day probation after he appears in a video in which an underage drinker is allowed to walk away from a citation apparently because she beat another officer in a game.

Cameron Police Chief Randy Dixon notes officer Chris Ashwood wasn’t the one who played rock-paper-scissors against the girl at Chilifest last weekend in Snook but he is seen in the video.

Ashwood told the police chief that a different officer decided to kick her out of the festival rather than issue a citation or reprimand after the girl won the contest.

The Eagle reports that neither the identities of the other officers in the video nor the department they work for have been released.
