Bush School Recognizing 25th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Bush School of Government at Texas A&M is recognizing the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall Monday with a day long conference featuring key U.S. leaders.

The highlight is the appearance of President George H.W. Bush, where he will be given the Robert Schuman Medal. Bush will become the first American to receive the prestigious honor, presented by the EEP Group of the European Parliament, to those who have helped secure a peaceful Europe.

The conference features numerous distinguished scholars, diplomats and government officials from the U.S. and Europe, including Lt. General Brent Scowcroft (Ret.) and former Secretary of State James Baker, both of whom were key advisors to President George H.W. Bush on national security issues, as well as Bush School Dean Ryan Crocker.
