Bryan Selected for TxDOT Safety Grants

After coming up empty last year, the Texas Department of Transportation has awarded the city of Bryan the funding for six local street projects next year.

City engineer Paul Kaspar told the city council Finfeather between Groesbeck and the south city limits will become a three lane for vehicles with bike lanes in each direction.

There will be new traffic signals at Carson and Turkey Creek, Carson and South College, 29th and Texas, and Villa Maria and South College…along with new flashing lights at Highway 21 and Marino.

The city will spend about $115,000 dollars in order to access $1.5 million in state funding.
