Bryan School Board Hires New Athletic Director And Special Education Director

The Bryan school board has hired the district’s next athletic director and special education director.

The new A.D. is Janice Williamson. She founded Bryan High’s softball program in 1988 and led her high school alma mater to a state championship in 2002, the silver medal in 2000 and 2003, and the bronze medal in 1996. Williamson has been with Bryan ISD since 1981. Since 2007, Williamson has been the district’s director of student health, fitness, and athletics.

The new special education director is Catherine George, who held the same position at the Region six education service center. Before that, Dr. George spent nine years as College Station ISD’s director of special services.
