Bryan Policeman Injured & Loses Bodycam While Being Dragged By A Vehicle

A Bryan policeman who was dragged by a vehicle last weekend also lost his body camera.

The officer responded to a report of five children between the ages of three and six left alone in the vehicle at the west Bryan Walmart Saturday night.

Investigators believe the driver, who has been identified, discarded the camera.

Anyone who finds the camera is asked to return it to the police department offices at 29th and Texas.

The officer, who was attempting to turn off the ignition when the driver pulled away, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of road rash, bruises, a large bump to his head, and a possible concussion.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call BPD at 979-209-5300 or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
