For the second time in three months, a College Station woman is arrested on multiple drug charges.

According to 30 pages of arrest reports from Bryan police, an officer pulled over a car driven by 28 year old Janie Jones for running a red light and failing to signal a left turn. That’s after the officer noticed the driver refused to turn her head towards him and kept her body very rigid and uncomfortable.

During the traffic stop, the officer spotted prescription bottles that were not in Jones’s name. After the driver refused to give officers permission to search her car, a K-9 unit from College Station was requested.

When the K-9 officer detected drugs, a search led to finding what officers believe to be heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy, amphetamine, and marijuana. The officers also found what they believe to be records and phones used in selling drug sales, and a laptop that was reported stolen to College Station police.

Jones is jailed in lieu of bonds on the new charges totaling $63,000 dollars. She is also being held on a motion to revoke probation in prior convictions involving drug charges in Brazos and Burleson counties.

At the time of last Friday’s arrest, Jones was out on bond following an April 26th arrest by Bryan police on charges of multiple counts of possessing controlled substances.
