Bryan police responded Saturday (10/25) during the noon hour to a report of a SUV driving through a wrought iron fence at the Bryan Aquatic Center.

The BPD arrest report says if the SUV had not hit a crepe myrtle tree, the vehicle would have gone into the pool which had swimmers.

The driver, 57 year old Elma Howard of College Station, went to jail on a charge of deadly conduct.

Officers were told by Howard and her husband that they had been arguing prior to the crash.

As of Tuesday (October 28), Howard remains held in lieu of a $4,000 dollar bond.
