No arrests have been announced in the April 11 shooting death of a Bryan teenager at Bryan’s Regional Athletic Complex (BRAC).

But Bryan police believe they have the gun that was used to kill 16 year old Ponce DeLeon.

And a Bryan woman who gave the gun to detectives, 40 year old Elizabeth Alvarado Martinez, was arrested on a charge of evidence tampering.

According to the BPD arrest report, Martinez gave detectives an automatic rifle with a silencer that she received from an unidentified juvenile.

The arrest report states multiple shell casings found at BRAC came from that gun.

And a video from a phone belonging to DeLeon showed a juvenile holding that style of rifle.

Detectives found Martinez after interviewing the juvenile, who said he gave the rifle to her the day after the shooting.

Martinez is out of jail after posting bond.
