Bryan Police Investigating Deadly Shooting

Bryan police identify a man who was shot to death early Tuesday morning as 46 year old Roderick Ray Morrison of Bryan.

According to BPD officer Kole Taylor, 9-1-1 received calls from multiple people who heard gunfire around 1:30 a.m. on Long Drive, which is west of the freeway between William Joel Bryan Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Street.

Taylor says Morrison was found in front of a home.

Taylor says detectives are looking into multiple leads, and they do not believe this was a random act of violence.

Bryan police is investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Tuesday morning.

According to a BPD tweet, officers responded at 1:30 a.m. to the 2500 block of Long Drive. That’s just west of the freeway and between William Joel Bryan Parkway and Martin Luther King, Jr. Street.

The victim’s name and any information that investigators have learned so far have not been released.
