Bryan Police & DPS Seizes Cocaine Valued At $260,000 And $31,000 Cash

Bryan police and the department of public safety seizes nearly six pounds of cocaine valued at $260,000 dollars, $31,000 dollars cash, and two vehicles.

That follows the search of an apartment Wednesday afternoon east of the freeway and north of Briarcrest.

The primary occupant, 47 year old Julian Macias, and 42 year old Christopher Hector Gutierrez were arrested on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

According to a BPD news release, the search inside the apartment on Prairie Flower Circle, which is off Wildflower and north of Briarcrest, followed a lengthy joint investigation.

According to the BPD arrest report, 4.4 pounds of suspected cocaine was found in the kitchen, along with items used to package cocaine.

Another 1.4 pounds of cocaine was found in the lone bedroom, along with items used to distribute drugs.

Both men were still in jail on Thursday morning in lieu of bonds of $35,000 dollars each.

According to online records, this is the 29th time Gutierrez has been in the Brazos County jail since November of 1994. Macias had prior bookings in May 2015 and September 1995.
