A 78 year old Bryan man is caught by a national group that looks for online child predators. That’s according to a Bryan police arrest report where an officer responded to a report from the leader of “Predator Poachers”. After the officer heard the suspect say his intention was to have sex with a 12 year old girl, the officer arrested Frank Lopez Jr. for online solicitation of a minor. Lopez, who was arrested last Monday afternoon (July 28) at a Bryan apartment complex, was released from jail the next day after posting a $15,000 bond.
A Bryan man is arrested on a DWI charge where his breath alcohol level was around three times over the legal limit. Last Monday’s arrest (July 28) followed a crash at 29th and Briarcrest where the Bryan police arrest report says witnesses reported the accused drunk driver ran a red light and T-boned a pickup. Officers arrived to find the driver and a passenger in the car were both unresponsive and the driver was “entirely disrobed”. 23 year old Kain Gala, whose breath alcohol samples measured .232 and .240, was also charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. The only injury mentioned in the arrest report was to Gala’s passenger, who was bloody from her mouth and head. Gala is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $9,000 dollars.
