Officers seized $4,860 in cash that included 235-$20 dollar bills.
The arrest took place Friday evening (August 8) according to the BPD arrest report in a neighborhood described as having a high level of illegal drug sales.
An officer in an unmarked pickup saw a rental vehicle that had an out of state license plate, which the arrest report said is commonly used by drug dealers.
When the undercover officer saw the vehicle not come to a complete stop at a stop sign, that was communicated to a patrol officer.
A traffic stop is made, the patrol officer smells marijuana, and that led to the search of the vehicle.
The arrest report says the driver, 40 year old Wincent Bracy Jr., had multiple felony convictions from California that included going to prison for participating in a gang, robbery, and possession/sale of controlled substances.
Officers allowed Bracy’s friend to take possession of his rental SUV.
Bracy was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $26,000 dollars.
