Last December, a jury convicted Robert Noel Ray of drunk driving that followed a non-injury crash in north Bryan in September of 2017.
Prosecutors say the results of a blood alcohol test that was given hours after the crash showed Ray’s blood alcohol level was just above the legal limit at .084.
According to online court records, Ray filed motions for a new trial and to receive probation.
The D-A’s office says Ray’s DWI convictions go back to 1967, but this was the first since 1992. The prior convictions took place in Brazos, Taylor, Randall, Potter, and Parmer counties.
