Bryan Man Watching Burglars On His Phone Leads To Two Arrests & How Bryan Police Catch Men Accused Of Stealing Tires And Rims

A Bryan man contacted Bryan police as he was watching on his cell phone two men burglarize his home. One of several BPD officers who responded to Tuesday night’s burglary found one of the men seen in the surveillance video walking with a woman about a block away from the victim’s house. The woman directed officers to the other man, who was about six blocks away. 32 year old Pedro Perez and 17 year old Jorge Aguina Jr. are accused of taking a flat screen TV from the home and leaving it in the backyard…and also removing several surveillance cameras from their mounts and leaving them on furniture inside the house. According to online records, it’s the 17th time Perez has been booked in the Brazos County jail in 13 and a half years…and the first time for Aguina.

For the second time in three months, a Houston man has bonded out of the Brazos County jail on charges on stealing tires and rims from vehicles in Bryan. According to the Bryan police arrest report, investigators learned 26 year old James Oliver III was staying with his girlfriend at a local apartment complex. Detectives were able to trace the landscaping blocks used to prop victim vehicles to missing concrete blocks that were outside the girlfriend’s apartment. Oliver has been arrested on three counts of felony theft between $2,500 and $30,000 dollars. An accomplice, 22 year old Keenan Brooks of Somerville, is out of jail on bond following four arrests during August…for burglary of a vehicle, two counts of felony theft between $2,500 and $30,000, and one felony theft between $30,000 and $150,000 dollars.
