Bryan ISD Superintendent Praises Response at Rudder Football Medical Emergency

It’s been a week since a Rudder High School football player experienced a medical emergency. Bryan ISD superintendent Tommy Wallis praised everyone involved in the care of David Wilganowski.

Wallis says the impact was felt this week not only on the Rudder campus but around the district. Wallis noted fans attending the Bryan High game the next night paying more attention during timeouts as players were dealing with cramps.

BISD’s new superintendent adds Wilganowski, who remains hospitalized in Houston, is ready to come home and the family is upbeat and positive.
