Bryan school district students will be in classes eight more days next year.
That’s after the Bryan ISD school board on Monday approved starting classes August 17th…two days sooner than originally planned.
And the school year will end May 28th…two days later than originally set.
The board also cut five teacher in-service days and increased the number of early release days.
No change was made in BISD’s holiday schedule.
And the board’s decision to hold 180 instructional days makes the district eligible for state funding for elementary summer school next June.
