Bryan ISD School Board Selects Another Site For A Potential Transportation & Maintenance Facility

For the second time, the Bryan school board has selected a site for a new transportation and maintenance center if voters approve a $175 million dollar bond issue in November.

Board member Julie Harlin’s motion was the only public comment about the property during a special meeting Thursday afternoon.

The location of the 44.1 acre site, which was mentioned only by the land title, is S F Austin #10, tracts 39 and 40.

According to Bryan ISD’s lawyer, the physical address was not announced because that’s not generally released to the public until the seller agrees to the offer.

According to the appraisal district’s website, the physical location 840 and 856 Marino Road. That’s about a half-mile north of Highway 21.

The purchase price is $1.225 million dollars.

Earlier this year, the BISD board selected a site near Davila Middle School, but that was later withdrawn.
