Bryan ISD School Board Discussion Before Approving $571,000 Project At Merrill Green Stadium

A College Station man is in the Brazos County jail for the 12th time in eleven years. According to the Bryan Police arrest report, an officer responded to a residence on Pecan Knoll St. Sunday afternoon just before 5 p.m. for a disturbance. Dispatch reported hearing a male yelling aggressively in the background. On arrival, a woman told the officer her son had threatened her with a knife after they had gotten into a verbal argument in the kitchen. She admitted to being scared because her son had previously gone to jail for stabbing people. In addition to getting arrested for multiple warrants, 30 year-old Trey Deshaun Burleson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A 21 year-old man from Hempstead was arrested outside a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Northgate during the midnight hour on Monday. According to the College Station police arrest report, two off duty officers who were working the event, made an arrest on a highly intoxicated person. While the suspect was being restrained, a second person walked up aggressively and tried to interject himself into the arrest. A group of friends made multiple attempts to coax him away, but he continued to scream at the officers. One of the officers determined he was intoxicated and might endanger himself or another, so the second man was also arrested for public intoxication. During a search of his person, a handgun was found in his waistband. In addition to public intoxication, Preston Gurrola was charged with unlawful carry of a weapon. According to online jail records, Gurrola is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $5,300.
