The end of the Bryan ISD school board meeting on Monday (August 19) was the unanimous purchase of safety equipment without publicly identifying what was purchased.
The nearly $192,000 dollar purchase, according to the agenda, was for “mandated safety equipment”.
Board president David Stasny said the purchase was discussed in private before the vote.
The purchase was among several topics listed in executive session.
Another item, where action was not taken, was the ongoing negotiations with the governor’s office over proposed incentives to land a semiconductor research and manufacturing facility on the RELLIS campus.
