Bryan High Welcomes Tullos as Vikings New Football Coach

It was a pep rally-like atmosphere in Viking Gymnasium Wednesday as Bryan ISD athletics director Janice Williamson introduced Ricky Tollus as the Vikings’ next head football coach and athletic coordinator.

Surrounded by members of the team, along with cheerleaders and the band, Tollus said he was excited to bring his brand of football to Bryan.

“Fun. Fast. Physical. I told them earlier; if we’re gonna do something, we’re gonna have fun.”

Tollus previously served as a head coach in the Houston area, with stops at Cleveland, Richmond George Ranch and Pearland.

His 2015 George Ranch team defeated Bryan in the 5A Division I Regional Quarterfinals en route to a state title.

Tollus takes over a Vikings squad that finished 4-7 in 2021 and reached the 6A Bi-District round.
