The new station, located at 414 Lawrence Street, between Cavitt and Maloney, is six blocks north of the current location on the corner of Dellwood and Cavitt.

Bryan Fire Chief Randy McGregory spoke to the ongoing issue of growth in the city.

“The station is not only going to meet the needs of today, but for years to come. This building will have room to grow as the city continues to grow and as the Bryan Fire Department continues to grow,” said McGregor.

The 20,000 square foot station will feature five bays, room to sleep 15 firefighters, administrative offices, and a training room to be used by the community for neighborhood associations.

The station is expected to be complete in 9 to 12 months.
