Bryan Fire Department Has Your Friday Lunch Plans

William Bouse of the Bryan Fire Marshal’s office visited with WTAW’s Bill Oliver about Friday’s spaghetti fundraiser, sponsored by the Bryan Fire Department and BFD Protection Company Number 1.

Serving takes place Fundraiser at the Central Fire Station downtown from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tables and chairs will be set up in the fire bay and takeout is available. Large orders can be called in at 979-209-5975. Credit and debit cards can be used along with checks written to “Protection Company #1”.

Proceeds will benefit the families of two firefighters. Lt. Eric Wallace and his wife Brandie were able to bring their premature baby daughter home on Mothers Day. And the young son of Matt and Jessica Deemer has Cystic Fibrosis and was recently hospitalized with MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) that turned into pneumonia.

At the dinner, you can also buy Protection Company #1 Supporter T-shirts available for $12 each but supplies are limited. Orders can be taken for a later pick up when they are ready.
