Bryan Death Classified as Murder

What was being investigated as a suspicious death in the 4400 block of North Texas Avenue is now a murder case.

Click to hear WTAW’s Chris Clift talk with Officer Jason James:

The body was found inside a trailer Wednesday night, and as is always the case police investigate the situation as a homicide until they can prove otherwise.

After an autopsy Thursday it was determined that the preliminary cause of death was a gunshot wound, which meant the Criminal Investigation Division changed the classification to murder.

Final autopsy results are expected in late February, and in the meantime investigators continue to interview witnesses and follow up on leads provided to the Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bryan PD at 979-209-5316 to speak with an investigator.

Those who would like to share information without giving their name are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.

Press release from Bryan PD:

UPDATE:

The deceased is identified as:

Sifuentez-Carrillo, Marco Anthony, H/M, 24 year old Bryan resident.

The preliminary cause of death is gunshot wound.
