One of several topics the Bryan city council discussed in private during Wednesday’s monthly meeting (June 4) was the status of the Midtown Park entertainment complex.

The following day, councilman James Edge said during his visit on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs that the developer remained in compliance with the agreement to open the facility by September 1.

What is dubbed the “movie/bowling/grille” building was originally scheduled to open in August 2024. Then the council approved an extension to December 31, 2024.

Along with the extensions to finish construction, the council approved a $2 million dollar loan to the developer.

WTAW News e-mailed the project developer for an update and as of June 6 have not received a response.
