The Bryan City Council Tuesday night approved a separation agreement with City Manager David Watkins.
City spokesman Allen Bruggman says details of the agreement will be released once it’s signed by the City Attorney and it’s notarized.
The council released the following statement:
“This City Council did not negotiate nor approve Mr. Watkins’ written Employment Agreement. However, the current City Council has agreed to abide by the terms of that Agreement by paying the amount negotiated and agreed to by the previous City Council before Mr. Watkins was employed by the City of Bryan.”
There were no comments other than making the motion and the council’s unanimous vote.
Watkins fourth anniversary with the City of Bryan would have been October 30th.
Watkins visited with WTAW’s Bill Oliver Tuesday evening. Click below to hear segments of the interview.
