Bryan Council Updated on Biomedical Corridor

Work continues towards a proposed agreement between College Station and Bryan on managing the westside biomedical corridor.

While an update was given at Tuesday’s Bryan City Council meeting, frustrations were vented regarding the lack of information while it was discussed in detail at the last College Station council meeting.

Bryan Councilman Paul Madison repeatedly called for more details, that up to Tuesday weren’t available to a majority of the council and staff.

Mayor pro-tem Ann Horton, who has been participating in negotiating the interlocal agreement, told Madison he was responding to College Station getting to review the progress and Bryan not having time to do the same until this meeting.

Deputy City Manager Joey Dunn attempted to stress the importance of both cities applying the same rules to anyone wanting to locate in the corridor.

That includes one prospect, nicknamed “Project Purity”, that is waiting on the outcome of council votes in College Station Thursday and Bryan on Friday.
