Bryan Council Takes Four Minutes For Final Approval Of FY 2017 Tax Rate

A special meeting of the Bryan city council Tuesday night wrapped up the 2017 fiscal year budget by ratifying the tax rate, which remains unchanged from last year, and before that, the roll call vote on the tax rate ordinance.

It took just over four minutes to pass the two motions and hear an explanation of the recent history of tax rates and valuations in the city.

Both motions passed by 6-0 margins.

Mike Southerland was absent, according to Al Saenz, because of surgery.
