Bryan Council Gives Preliminary Approval To BTU Deposit & Payment Changes

For the first time in about a decade, changes are coming to payment policies at Bryan’s electric utility.

BTU General Manager Dan Wilkerson told the city council Tuesday about disconnecting service in 20 days instead of 29 in order to cut their losses.

There is also no deposit when residential customers prepay their electric bills. For those who pay deposits, the amount could go up based on their usage.
