Since June, the Bryan City Council and its audit committee have been discussing an outside audit of its electric department.
The council at its Tuesday night meeting voted unanimously to hire an outside firm to review the operations of BTU.
The cost of the outside audit was capped at $50,000 dollars. And Mayor Jason Bienski reminded the audience this is in addition to the city’s annual audit of BTU and other departments.
