Bryan City Council’s Commerce And Development Arm Buys A Home And Lots Near Midtown Park

January’s meeting of the economic development arm of the Bryan city council includes buying a home and two lots across Rountree Drive from Williamson Park.

According to city documents, the board of Bryan’s commerce and development organization acquired the property as part of the redevelopment of the city’s midtown corridor.

Former Bryan mayor Jason Bienski represented the seller.

The city is paying $150,000 dollars plus closing costs. The appraisal district’s assessed value is $97,638.

According to the Brazos Central Appraisal District, the assessed value of the home is $65,144 and the land value is $32,494.
