Bryan Broadcasting News Director Bill Oliver was recognized at Saturday night’s Texas Broadcast News Awards (TBNA) that is sponsored by the Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB).
Oliver was named TBNA’s best radio anchor and best radio reporter at radio stations outside of Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
He was also presented the Headliners Foundation of Texas Charles E. Green Award for best radio reporter regardless of market size. According to the Headliners Foundation website, Charles E. Green, publisher of the Austin American-Statesman in the 1950s, was a founding member of the Headliners Club in Austin, TX. In his memory, the Headliners Club and Foundation have been recognizing exceptional journalism for almost four decades.
