Brazos Valley Law Enforcement Memorial Service Held Wednesday

Brazos Valley law enforcement officers gathered for the 28th time at Veterans Park to honor those who paid the ultimate price.

Last year, 11 in Texas were among the 126 around the country who died. Through the first five months of 2015, there have been 44 line of duty deaths.

The keynote speaker was the Commandant of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Brigadier General (Ret.) Joe Ramirez.

Also addressing the audience were the police chiefs in College Station, Bryan, and Texas A&M, Scott McCollum, Eric Buske, and Mike Ragan, and Chief Deputy Jim Stewart of the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.
