The congressman serving Brazos County posts on social media that he is “troubled by the events that have unfolded in Minneapolis.”

Michael McCaul posted Sunday (January 25) on his X/Twitter account that “both sides have a responsibility to turn down the temperature right now.”

McCaul, who is one of ten Texans on the House homeland security committee, supports the chairman’s call to hear from the directors of ICE, customs and border enforcement (CBE), and the U.S. citizenship and immigration services offices (USCIS).

His X/Twitter post said “As an attorney and former federal prosecutor, I believe a thorough investigation is necessary—both to get to the bottom of these incidents and to maintain Americans’ confidence in our justice system.”
