The Bryan district of the Texas Department of Transportation picked up two of the four new highway projects approved Thursday by the state’s transportation commission.
TxDOT spokesman Bob Colwell says one of the projects is on Highway 47 in west Bryan, building an overpass connecting Texas A&M University’s new Health Science Center.

Funding for the $12 million project includes $8 million from a TxDOT bond program, $1 million in TxDOT money alloted to the Bryan district, and $3 million from the City of Bryan.
In Grimes County, $7.5 million dollars will be spent to build new passing lanes along Highway 105 from Navasota to the Montgomery County line.
