News release from the Brazos County sheriff’s office:
The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate the disappearance of Nicole “Nikki” Winder and is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a vehicle captured on camera in the area on the day she went missing.
Investigators have followed up on numerous tips and leads since the beginning of the investigation and have conducted searches on multiple properties in the surrounding area. The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the property owners who have granted investigators permission to search their land, as well as all the agencies and partners who have assisted with the investigation and search efforts. Their cooperation and support have been invaluable.
Investigators have located two images that we believe are important to this case. Both were captured on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, between approximately 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., in the area of FM 974 near Jack Creek Road. One image shows an ATV in the area. Investigators are attempting to identify the driver or owner of the ATV. At this time, investigators do not know if the ATV or its operator is directly related to the investigation; however, it is possible the individual may have seen something that day or may have information that could assist investigators.
Another image captured in the area shows Nikki’s white 2025 Chevy truck with black rims. The photograph taken on the day of the incident will be attached to this release. Investigators believe someone in the community may have seen either the ATV or Nikki’s truck on February 25, 2026.
Residents who were in the area on that day, including those with dash camera footage in their vehicles, are asked to contact the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office if they have any information regarding the ATV, Nikki’s truck, or anything that may assist the investigation.
