A Bryan man appears in Brazos County district court last Thursday (May 1) who in August 2020 was tased after striking a College Station police officer in the face with an elbow. 38 year old Spencer Caldwell Jr. entered a plea agreement with the Brazos County district attorney’s office that includes a four year prison sentence as part of admitting to assaulting an officer. The plea agreement also includes admitting to possessing one and a quarter pounds of marijuana in March of 2023. Online records show this will be Caldwell’s second prison sentence. In September 2009 he was sentenced to six years for burglary of a habitation.

In March of 2023, a Hearne man was sentenced to one year in a state jail after admitting to ten property crimes in Brazos County.
