The Brazos County district attorney’s office and a Bryan man reach a plea agreement in a domestic violence stabbing. 22 year old Nicholas Tena, who admitted January 6th in district court to the aggravated assault that took place on Christmas Eve in 2024, was sentenced to five years in prison. The victim was the father of a pregnant woman who was separated from Tena. The arrest report from Bryan police says the victim was kicked 50 to 60 times. Officers who responded used tourniquets to stop the blood loss from the seven and half inch wound.

A Bryan man who admitted in July 2023 to taking part in stealing a recreational vehicle and burglary of a building in October of 2018 is headed to a state jail. Brazos County district court records show 52 year old Kevin Piwonka on January 6th was sentenced to 15 months as part of a plea agreement with the district attorney’s office to violating probation. The motion to revoke says Piwonka failed to undergo drug and alcohol testing 20 times over an 18 month period ending in February 2025.
