Brazos County District Court Criminal Convictions For Child Endangerment And A Third DWI

A Bryan man held in the Brazos County jail for immigration authorities admits to endangering a 13 year old boy in July of 2025. A plea agreement between 37 year old Ociel Martinez and the district attorney’s office on June 11 dropped a charge of family violence aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The Bryan police arrest report says the teen was threatened with a knife when he got between his mother and Martinez, who had been arguing. Martinez was sentenced to 18 months, of which five months has already been served since he has been in jail since January 2026.

A College Station man now has DWI convictions in Brazos, Madison, and Leon counties. In Brazos County district court on June 11, 45 year old Ryan Dawson was convicted of his third DWI…which took place in December 2023 in Bryan following a collision at Briarcrest and Freedom. A spokesman at the district attorney’s office said Dawson’s blood alcohol level was more than one and a half times the legal limit at point .130. Dawson was sentenced to three years in prison, which was less than the minimum of five years sought by prosecutors.
