Brazos County Commissioners Change Terms Of Property Tax Breaks Given To The Owner Building A Second Data Center Building On The RELLIS Campus

Property tax breaks that are being given to the owner who is putting up a second data center building on the RELLIS campus are changed by Brazos County commissioners.

There was no public discussion before unanimous approval was given at the April 29th commission meeting, where Brazos County giving up as much as $13 million dollars over a ten year period.

That is in exchange for a $700 million dollar, 230,000 square foot building that will be the second structure for the Austin based owner.

The agreement calls for eventually hiring 100 employees with an annual payroll of $7.3 million dollars.
