Brazos County commissioners approve a $50,000 dollar donation of furniture.

County judge Duane Peters says the donation from Skywriter MD, which recently moved, will go first to the JP and Constable precinct three office, which is being remodeled following water damage during February’s winter storms…and the future home of the JP and Constable precinct one offices.

Peters said during Tuesday’s meeting “all that furniture was in excellent shape and needed to be moved.”

Brazos County purchasing agent Charles Wendt, who coordinated the move thanked the county’s facility services department and an inmate crew from the county jail.

County commissioner Steve Aldrich also thanked Skywriter MD, saying “talk about a corporate partner in our community, that’s about as good as it gets.”

The county received five office desks and 47 cubicles that come with desks, filing cabinets and storage bins.
