Blinn’s First Meeting With Two Brazos County Members Will Be In Bryan

The first Blinn College trustees meeting with the addition of two members from Brazos County will be held on the Bryan campus.

Former Bryan councilwoman Ann Horton does not expect the issues Blinn faced during the legislative session…which created the new trustees positions…to carry over on the expanded board.

Horton says she will draw on serving two terms on the Bryan council.

Horton and College Station mayor Nancy Berry were both members of Blinn’s Brazos County advisory committee, which was a requirement to be considered for the two year trustees appointment.

Horton and Berry will be sworn in Tuesday, December 15, during the trustees regular meeting that starts at 6:30 at the Bryan campus student center.

Horton, who was term-limited from seeking a third term on the Bryan council a year ago, has remained active with her husband in El Salvador as part of their non-profit “SHIP”, the Shelter the Homeless International Project.
