A veteran Blinn College administrator and educator is retiring.
A Blinn spokesman tells WTAW News that vice chancellor of academic affairs Marcelo Bussiki will retire in January.
At last week’s trustees meeting (October 21), approval was given with no discussion to start the search for Bussiki’s successor.
Bussiki is finishing his seventh year in that position as part of a career at Blinn that began in 2001 as a music instructor.
He also served as an academic dean and chaired the fine arts division.
Bussiki continues with the Brazos Valley Symphony according to their website as music director and conductor, which are positions he has held since 1996.
